Here are some FAQs – please also call, text or email Lily with any questions about our treatments. The questions are in response for Line softening and dermal fillers.
Probably less than you think. The price of Botox injection starts at just £99. There’s a full price list under Prices. You’re very welcome to call, text or email Lily to find out more about any of the treatments or our pricing.
Most of our clients remark on how little discomfort they feel and it’s very common for them to be pleasantly surprised, sometimes even when they’ve had teatments before. Clients have compared the injection to the sensation of having an eyebrow plucked. See Client feedback.
Line softening treatments with Botox and Juvederm dermal fillers both involve injections under the skin. But we use the finest needles – 32 gauge – which people with diabetes use to inject themselves with insulin every day. So our treatments are as near to pain-free as possible.
The side effects are very few and we will discuss them with you before you undergo treatment. They vary slightly depending on whether you are going to have line-softening treatment or dermal fillers. Any injection can give rise to a small amount of bruising under the skin, which will resolve as a bruise normally does. Unless you are taking aspirin or warfarin (which we will ask you about) bruising is not usual and can be reduced by simple pressure by the doctor immediately after the injection.
Some people find they have a slight headache after line-softening treatments but interestingly the same treatments are starting to be used to treat migraine.
A side effect which clients quite like is that sweating is reduced by the line-softening treatment. In fact, we offer this as a service to clients who want to reduce under-arm sweating (see Prices).
We want to help you to look great, so we use our experience to tailor your treatment, in order to get the effect you want. See our before and after photographs.
Our aim is always to provide a result which is effective and subtle. If you prefer a more dramatic change, we can adjust the treatment accordingly at your two-week top-up consultation – which is free of charge.
Botox treatments can start to be effective after about two to seven days and last roughly three months – the effect wearing off gradually.
Dermal fillers are slowly broken down naturally by the body and the preparations we use last between 6 and 18 months, depending on the area treated and the exact product. We use the premium Juvederm fillers, including Smile, Volbella, Volift, Voluma and Volite.
Treatment of under-arm sweating – or hyperhidrosis – can last between four to six months.
There’s no absolute limit on the number of line softening or dermal filler treatments you can have. You can leave a longer break and allow lines to re-appear or have the treatment repeated and maintain your new appearance.
No. This is a myth. Bear in mind that if you have treatments over a period of years, the effects of aging continue on those areas not treated. If you continue to smoke or sunbathe, these both speed up the appearance of aging.
